Paul Germann is an award-winning Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer with over 30 years experience.
He’s collaborated with some of the medium's most successful producers and directors, including Guillermo Del Toro, David Cronenberg, The Duffer Brothers, Roland Joffe and Sarah Polley. Recent work includes Del Toro’s “Frankenstein”, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound, and won the Motion Picture Sound Editors award for Best Feature Effects / Foley. Paul supervised sound for the Duffer Brothers’ Netflix series “Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen”, and in 2023 he was nominated for an Emmy for Del Toro's "Cabinet Of Curiosities". He also designed sound for Lin Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis' musical adaptation of Walter Hill's "The Warriors" and A24's wrestling feature "The Iron Claw”. Paul won back-to-back Canadian Screen Awards in 2022 and 2023 for Best Sound Editing for the features "Scarborough" and "Brother", both Canadian Screen Award Best Picture winners themselves.
